GLOBE & MIAMI CHURCHES

Globe and Miami have vibrant and well-established religious communities, with a wide range of places of worship. The earliest church was St Paul’s Methodist in Globe that was dedicated in 1880. Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament opened its doors to the faithful in Miami in 1917. With its classical Mission style architecture, it became another prominent place of worship in the Copper Belt. Whatever your denomination, you will find a spiritual home among the many churches of Globe and Miami.

CHURCH NEWS

First Christian Church of Globe (DOC) is pleased to announce the ministry of its new pastor, Rev. Dr. Donald Brackbill, Jr. The church will be recognizing Dr. Brackbill in a special Installation Service on July 6, 2025 at its 10:00 a.m. worship service. Dr. Brackbill began serving the church in July of 2024 and has been busy acclimating to the congregational ministry and the installation service is the official recognition of Dr. Brackbill’s ordination and standing with the Arizona Disciples of Christ.

Dr. Brackbill comes to FCC, Globe after nearly 40 years of public ministry having served in four different churches in a pastoral capacity. He recently left the ministry of First Southern Baptist Church, Miami in May of 2022. Upon leaving the ministry at FSBC, Dr. Brackbill and his family remained residents of Globe.

Dr. Brackbill comes to FCC with his family, Tiffany Brackbill (spouse) and children Robyn (age 12) and Maddie (age 5). The family is excited to continue serving the Globe community as pastor of the historic ministry of FCC.

Dr. Brackbill is a graduate of Grand Canyon University and Gateway Seminary. He holds a Doctor of Ministry degree, having worked to develop an ongoing ministry for family caregivers. Dr. Brackbill published his first book in 2013, “Surviving the Shadow: Coping with the Crises of Life”.

As FCC is preparing to officially install Dr. Brackbill into this position, all are invited to join in the Installation service held on Sunday morning, July 6th, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.
